Awareness Week 2008 Events

Awareness week 2008Support Groups around the country are working with FMA UK to raise awareness through various means. Anything from broadcasting on community radio to organising a coffee morning and inviting the local MP along, as well as tombola's and having awareness stands in a shopping mall.

Awareness Week 2008 is between the 8th  and 14th of September and in the following section you can check what's going on around the country. If you know of anything that should be added here then please let us know using this form.

Fibromyalgia Awareness Week was the brainchild of our late chairman Bob Stewart in 2002. Bob wanted an event that was unique to FMA UK as there was already an International Awareness Day on 12th May.  Since then other organisations have adopted this week to raise awareness of fibromyalgia.  Bob would have welcomed this ‘working together’ approach.
