Liz Barber the secretary of the Hull and East Riding Fibromyalgia Syndrome Support Group writes to let us know how well their awareness day event went... The Hull & East Riding Fibromyalgia Syndrome Support Group held an Awareness Stand on Saturday 9th May at the Civic Hall in Cottingham.
We were alongside 23 other well known Charity Groups for a Spring Fair all aiming for the same thing Awareness of Conditions and to raise funds. We had a very good day lots of interest in the 2 ducks on our table Fred & Daisy. We raised £98.19p which was brilliant and spoke with lots of people.
We were interviewed by one of our local radio stations WHCR who said we should have a duck race on Barmston Drain, Pat (chair) said if he would like to come on our Committee he could organise it, unfortunately he said he was in high demand………so we left it at that for now........!!!!!!!
