Kathy Longley Resigns
A note from Kathy
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as a trustee finding the role challenging, stimulating and fulfilling, and have appreciated the opportunities and experience the role has offered. I have also taken great delight in the close friendships I have formed and hope to retain this benefit of the job at least!
I will be starting part time work on October 24th and I approach my new future with equal amounts of excitement and trepidation. I hope to remain closely linked to the activities of FMA UK and will always be prepared to help as and when I can and I am also happy to continue with the MAB.
I would like to thank the original members of the Board who voted me in, however many years ago it was, and offering me this excellent opportunity. I just wish I could thank the man who gave me the confidence to believe in myself and to start on this new road of adventure.”
A note from the trustees
Kathy’s expertise and bubbly personality have been a great asset to the association and these attributes are bound to stand her in good stead for the future. Kathy is not allowed under Charity Commission rules to be a trustee and do the Fibromyalgia writing she is planning, but we are delighted she is keeping her role as co-ordinator of the All Party Parliamentary Group Medical Advisory Board.
We wish her all the best with her ambitions and look forward to seeing the results of her plunge into the world of work.
