Way back in the summer (do your memories go back that far?) Von was nominated for The Volunteer of the Year Award under the category for long term volunteering.  As many of you know she has helped with the office duties, and much more, even before we had an office.

The post is opened by Von and sorted, the faxes are collected the answer phone listened to and the emails read.  She can then start on sending things back out.  The information packs are usually done first.  Sometimes there are long letters included that need to be read, whilst at the other extreme some just have an envelope.  The orders come next, which is not always straightforward.  Order forms from years back crop up regularly, so Von may have to contact those people to explain items that are no longer available or a different price.  Of course she also has the forgot to sign the cheque, include a cheque etc to deal with, which are probably more frequent than for other organisations for some reason!
