The National Fibromyalgia Association’s FAME program (Fibromyalgia Assessment, Management and Education) will continue, having received continuing medical education accreditation.
Fame is a project launched in 2006 in a partnership between NFA and California State University and is a web-based medical education programme designed for healthcare providers who treat people with FM. For more information see the FAME website.
“Physician education is vital to successful diagnosis and treatment of
fibromyalgia,” says Lynne Matallana, president and founder of the NFA.
“The program will help to reduce health disparities and improve the
delivery of care to people affected by this life-altering disorder.”
