FMA UK welcomes the raised awareness of Fibromyalgia that the recent appearance of Jo Guest on ITV's This Morning programme has and will produce. After suffering from a mystery illness for over a year Jo has recently been diagnosed as suffering from fibromyalgia. Dr. Chris Steele appeared on the show to provide some medical advice to Jo. Also mentioned was the difficulty that people have in obtaining a diagnosis, as well as discussing some of the treatments that were available.

FMA UK are delighted to have been able to help Jo, Dr Chris Steele, and the ITV's This Morning programme in contributing to what will be a significant milestone in further raising the profile of fibromyalgia. Events such as this, and the continuing activities of FMA UK's affiliated support groups around the country, will raise the general awareness level among the public and medical professionals, and help ensure that more attention is spent on proper diagnosis and improving treatment protocols.
