Hi,

The site has a lot of information about coping with FM and the forums are introducing more each day. However it is very important that you consult your GP or other medical professional before changing any treatment regime. The forums will have information from fellow FM sufferers that may have helped them but this doe snot mean it will help you and could do the oppposite.

By all means research the information you information you find on the site and the forums and authenticate the sources but do not do anything without consulting your doctor.

The site has a disclaimer for the material it offers which is available here.

The forums registration agreement and site guidelines are available here

When posting information from other sites about FM it is important to be aware of the copyright of the material before copying it onto the forum. It is also good to have a link to the original material so hat readers can see where it comes from and look up further information. The link also allows people to put the material in its proper conext as the information you post may be relevant to your situation but not someone else's.

Rather than posting the whole text of an article it is better to post a short summary of the material and then let the link be followed for the rest of the article. Also include something from yourself on why you think it is relevant to you and others.

If you find many bits of information then don't be tempted to post them all as separate forum posts, its better if you group them together or perhaps drop a link to the originating site and highlight the areas to look at. The forum is a place for discussion rather than reading long articles. If material is relevant to go on the FMA UK site as an article then let us know and we can see about republishing it in one of our categories.

Also really good sites with good information can be added to our list of Web Links so that everyone can benefit.
