Reports from the Tullamore Fibromyalgia and ME conference
Reports from the recent Tullamore conference on Fibromyalgia and ME can be found below. This conference was organised by the Midlands Fibromyalgia Support Group in Ireland with the support of the Academy of Nutritional Medicine (AONM).
"Sunday’s (9/10/2011) ME/Fibromyalgia conference held at the Tullamore Court Hotel, Co Offaly, saw the highest ever attendance of a meeting of this kind in Ireland, with 273 delegates. Fibromyalgia (FM) is an illness affecting between 2 - 4% of the Irish population, and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) affects approx 3%. Around 70% of the audience were sufferers of either condition, or even both conjointly. Attendees came from all four corners of the country, as well as England and Wales."
